Who we are...

Afghan Small Business Development Institute, Inc., is a private, humanitarian / socially-conscious, non-profit, non-governmental corporation registered with the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as a 501(c)(3) charitable corporation (PDF).  Donations made to to ASBDI are tax exempt.

Afghan Small Business Development Institute, Inc., is the umbrella organization that also operates Afghan Women In Business; a program specifically designed to meet the needs of Afghan Women starting and operating micro-enterprises and small businesses.

What we do...

The goal of the Afghan Small Business Development Institute, Inc., is to empower the people of Afghanistan with capital, skills and education, consultative expertise, and trade development necessary to start and operate successful micro-enterprises and small businesses. Our intent is to create jobs, improve people's quality of life, create positive channels that people can divert their energies towards, and assist people in becoming self-sufficient and a positive contributing member of their communities. We provide services and link people and businesses both within Afghanistan and to other parts of the world to assist in the reconstruction and economic development of the country and to achieve long-term peace and stability.

Our mission is...

To equally assist the people of Afghanistan in becoming self-sufficient through the development of income-generating opportunities using current economic development practices of micro-finance, small business education, business incubation (PDF), and trade.
